Disruption as University staff back industrial action

Staff at 61 Universities have voted to strike in protest over pension changes


Students all over the country are facing disruption to their timetables in the near future. It could impact over 10,000 students.

So why are these strikes taking place? Members of the University and College Union (UCU) voted in favour of industrial over fears fear would some typical lecturers may lose £200,000 in retirement. 88% of union members backed the calls to strike.

Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College and King’s College London are just a few examples of those set to be disrupted.

So students, we advise you to check your timetables as it may be another day in your student accommodation rather lectures!
