5 Revision Tips

With the Christmas break feeling like the distant past, assessment time is well and truly upon us. This is Compare Student Rooms guide to acing those exams and deadlines.

Create a timetable

You here people bragging about being up all night in the library. This might make you think you are behind on your schedule. The truth is you are much better planning and scheduling your work. By doing this you are cutting the need for over the top last minute sessions in the library.

Exercise

It might not be what you want to hear but exercise really can help up your productivity. It relieves stress and can give you a welcome break from your revision notes. Try go for a run when you are home from the library, head to the gym if you can. If not take the time to walk or cycle rather than use public transport. Trust us you will feel the benefit!

Take a break

Procrastination is inevitable, everyone knows it. Instead of flicking through your Instagram while you are working set yourself a break time every half an hour. Allow for time away from working so the time you are revising seems less painful!

Give yourself enough time

Don’t worry the exam is two weeks… a week… two days away. Before you know it you have to cram everything into a two day window. Leave plenty of time to go over everything to avoid a huge panic at the end.

Socialise

You wouldn’t be the only person to lock yourself away throughout the exam period. But you need to remember to see your friends. Go for a pint or grab some lunch together. Don’t become so bogged down in work that there is no time to see you flatmates.
